Details: We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced
Controller to join our fast-growing team. This is an exciting
opportunity for a finance professional with a background in Private
Equity and Venture Capital. The successful candidate will play a
crucial role in the financial management of our company, ensuring
all accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented.
The Permanent Controller will also oversee the development of
budgets and financial forecasts, the preparation of all financial
reports, and the design and maintenance of financial policies and
procedures. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience
in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on private equity and
venture capital. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee all accounts,
ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate
GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. 2. Maintain internal
control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team
and organizational budgets and actual expenditures. 3. Coordinate
all audit activity and manage finance staff. 4. Regularly produce
financial reports and statements to inform stakeholders of the
organization's financial status and progress. 5. Implement
financial management tools and software to improve efficiency. 6.
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash
management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control,
and petty cash. 7. Monitor the financial performance of the company
and report any deviations from the budget. 8. Collaborate with the
management team to strategize on financial planning and
forecasting. 9. Monitor investment portfolio and make decisions
based on market trends. 10. Ensure compliance with all tax
regulations and filings. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA, CMA, or other
financial certifications are preferred. 2. Minimum 5 years of
experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position,
preferably in the private equity or venture capital sector. 3.
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control
principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP). 4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting
reporting systems. 5. Experience in audits, internal control, and
tax planning. 6. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting
and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability
analysis. 7. High level of integrity and dependability with a
strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. 8. Strong business
and common sense acumen, analytical problem-solving, and
decision-making skills. 9. Excellent communication skills, both
verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interact with
all levels of the organization. 10. Exceptional leadership skills,
with a proven track record of leading a financial team to meet
organizational objectives. 11. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with
exceptional skills in Excel and financial software applications.
