Job Description Job Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Dayton, Ohio Industry: Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting operational decision-making within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Oversee cost accounting processes and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audits (internal and external). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations. Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
