Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Birmingham,
Alabama. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting tasks,
ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This
position offers an opportunity to engage in high-volume operations
and contribute to maintaining the integrity of our financial
records. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed balance sheet
reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Review
the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, handling a
high volume of transactions monthly. • Reconcile cash accounts and
conduct thorough bank reconciliations. • Review and oversee journal
entries entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy. •
Handle month-end close procedures, maintaining compliance with
standards and deadlines. • Prepare and analyze journal entries to
support accurate ledger maintenance. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for
advanced financial analysis and reporting. • Monitor and manage
accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely resolution of
discrepancies. • Collaborate with team members to streamline
accounting operations and improve efficiency. • Provide assistance
in reviewing and supporting the work of entry level accounting
staff. • Proven experience in month-end close procedures and
general ledger management. • Strong skills in preparing and
analyzing journal entries. • Expertise in account and bank
reconciliation processes. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
for financial analysis. • Solid understanding of balance sheet
reconciliation techniques. • Ability to manage high-volume
transactions with attention to detail. • Excellent organizational
and communication skills. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
Finance, or a related field preferred. • Manufacturing experience
is required
