Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Special Education Teacher position is available for an elementary school with an inclusion focus. This full-time, onsite contract role requires a current Special Education certification and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within an educational environment. Location: Calera, AL Discipline: Special Education (SPED) Position Type: Contract (CSY) Duration: ASAP through 5/21/2026 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Caseload: Montevallo High School inclusion position Number of Openings: 1 Onsite Requirement: Yes Key Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting. - Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs). - Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes. - Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding student development. Qualifications: - Valid Special Education teaching certification. - Experience working with elementary-level students in inclusive settings preferred. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
