Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A contract Special Education Teacher position is
available for the current school year at a K-12 school in Akron,
OH. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and
support to students with individualized education needs, ensuring
they receive an inclusive and effective learning experience. Key
Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education
programs (IEPs) based on student assessments and needs. Adapt
curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students with
diverse learning abilities. Collaborate with general education
teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress.
Monitor and document student growth and behavior, adjusting
strategies as necessary. Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive
classroom environment that fosters student development. Desired
Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification.
Experience working with K-12 students in a special education
setting. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations,
and best practices. Effective communication and collaboration
skills. Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied student needs.
