JOB DESCRIPTION:  Process Engineer Jonoptik Laser Scoring - Night Shift– Cottondale, ALOur client is a large World Class Tier I automotive supplier with over 20,000 employees. This successful company is in the process of filling a PROCESS ENGINEER position in their Cottondale, AL plant.  The successful candidate will have 3 to 20 years experience working within a high paced Tier I automotive or other high paced manufacturing environment as Process Engineer or similar working on or closely with Jonoptik Laser Scoring equipment and processing. Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Engineer will support Engineering during launches on product specifications as well as supporting production. Enter in full labor when tooling arrives to plant and when SOP (start of production) starts. Communicate optimizations, changes between Process, Mfgr, etc. Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes related to product launch in industrial plant. Coordinate product engineering, and manufacturing teams to meet customers timeline of launch programs. Attend gate reviews and maintain reporting of launch phase activities. Develops and evaluates manufacturing capacity, and methods, used for new product launch including quoting, managing engineering and process changes with plant departments, tracking the programs profitability, and being an active participant in cost save development and implementation. CLIENT offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, and life insurance as well as paid vacation and matching 401k plan. CLIENT is an equal opportunity employer.
