Job Description Job Description In this role, you will perform a
wide range of welding, brazing, burning, spot welding, and
soldering operations on various parts and fabrications. The ideal
candidate is experienced in multiple welding techniques, capable of
reading blueprints, and committed to maintaining high-quality
standards. Key Responsibilities: Interpret drawings, process
sheets, shop orders, and specifications to determine welding
methods and techniques. Set up and operate arc, acetylene, spot
welding, and hand/machine burning equipment. Select appropriate
rods, wires, tips, and electrodes; set current, amperage, and gas
pressures for welding operations. Position and secure parts using
tables, fixtures, clamps, stops, or power positioners. Fit and tack
weld components according to specifications. Perform pre-weld
operations such as drilling or straightening parts. Inspect and
test welds for quality using visual inspection and measuring tools
(e.g., calipers, gauges). Maintain welding equipment and workspace,
including cleaning, calibration, and routine maintenance.
Collaborate with team members to support production goals and
maintain a safe work environment. Qualifications: High school
diploma or equivalent. Valid welding certification (e.g., AWS
Certified Welder). Proficiency in MIG welding; experience with
Flux-Core/Innershield a plus. Ability to read and interpret
blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Familiarity with
welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME, API). Basic
fabrication and metalworking skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
and work in physically demanding environments. Ability to operate
forklifts and overhead cranes. Basic math skills for measurements
and calculations. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning &
