Job Description:
Drax Group plc, a pioneer in the UK energy sector, is seeking a
skilled Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to join our devoted
team. This role is critical in supporting our mission to drive a
zero-carbon, cost-effective energy future. The technician will be
instrumental in maintaining and improving the electrical and
instrumentation systems that are pivotal in our power generation
processes. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical
and instrumentation equipment. Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot
control systems and various types of electronic, pneumatic, and
digital equipment used in power generation. Ensure compliance with
all safety regulations and practices, contributing to a safe
working environment. Coordinate with operation and engineering
teams to optimize plant performance. Document all maintenance
activities and report on system performance. Assist in the
development and implementation of plant improvement projects.
Strong technical capability in electrical systems and instrument
calibration. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical
documents and drawings. Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic
Controllers) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)
systems. Ability to diagnose faults and inconsistencies in
electrical systems rapidly. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Instrumentation
Technician (CIT) or similar certification is highly preferable. HV
(High Voltage) authorization is advantageous.
