Job Description:

is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to
join our Engineering & Maintenance team. The incumbent will play a
critical role in maintaining and enhancing the instrumentation and
electrical systems that are vital to our energy production
facilities. At Drax, we are committed to a zero carbon, lower cost
energy future, and your role will be pivotal in helping us achieve
these goals through meticulous maintenance and proactive
optimization of our technological resources. Perform routine and
preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment
to ensure continuous operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical
systems, control systems, and instrumentation. Install new
electrical and instrumentation equipment as per project
requirements. Assist in the calibration of instrumentation devices
to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system improvements
and optimize plant performance. Ensure compliance with health,
safety, and environmental regulations. Document all maintenance
activities and provide detailed reports on interventions and
adjustments. Participate in training sessions to stay up-to-date
with the latest technologies and safety standards. Strong knowledge
of electrical systems and instrumentation used in power generation
or similar industrial settings. Ability to read and interpret
electrical and instrumentation diagrams. Proficiency in the use of
diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability
to work independently and as part of a team. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification
as a Certified Instrumentation Technician (CIT) is desirable.
Relevant safety certifications, such as NFPA 70E.
