Full Time On-Air Personality for WTUG and TSM Tuscaloosa Promotions Director Full Time On-Air Personality for WTUG--

• Responsible for LIVE air shifts Monday-Friday with additional voice-tracking on weekends
• Write and publish at least two original articles of at least a minimum of 250 words for each weekday on-air show onto the station website.
• The two original articles must be cross posted to other brands (pending the fit).
• The two original articles must have app alerts associated with the content.
• Engage daily with your audience via the station mobile app and the station's accounts on social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
• Incorporate content from the station's digital platforms into your on-air show
• Must have knowledge of current events and ability to create radio topics based on local news & information
• Entertains and informs the listening audience with on-air, blogs and social media content
• Live Remotes and appearances and assist in special promotions and programming activities - As needed
• Perform Live endorsement spots as scheduled
• Perform commercial production as scheduled This position reports directly to the Market President, but also works directly on a day-to-day basis with the Director of Content, Brand Manager, and Director of Sales.-- TSM Tuscaloosa Promotions Director-- The Promotions Director is the driving force behind organizing and coordinating promotional events, arranging on-air contests, creating/executing sales programs, organizing and distributing contesting prizes, and coordinating promotional on-air activity. They will work across multiple departments including programming, sales, and live events. Responsibilities
  • Work with the sales team to create customized client presentations integrating radio station and digital assets
  • Assist in executing Live Events
  • Deploy promotions part time staff and interns
  • Plan, execute and track revenue-generating marketing and promotional events and contesting that take place on-air, online and on-site
  • Implement all aspects of on-air contesting, working directly with the digital team to coordinate
  • Execute promotions and promotional proposals with the Director of Content and Director of Sales
  • Participate in station promotional events as necessary, including set-up and breakdown of promotional equipment and materials
  • Vehicle maintenance: Make sure the vehicles are always clean, loaded, and ready for the next event
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained (oil changes, tire pressure, wiper blades, gasoline, etc.)
  • Plan and execute promotions meetings with Director of Content, Brand Manager, and sales team
  • Schedule and coordinate station talent and part-time workers at promotional events
  • Plan out in advance a calendar of large community events, and develop an involvement plan Qualifications
    • 3+ years' experience working in marketing or promotions within the same or a similar industry is preferred
    • Previous content creation is required
    • An energetic, fun and outgoing "people person"
    • Must be very well organized and manage time well
    • Thrives in a team environment
