Continuous Improvement Manager - Process Improvement, Lean, SPC

Were looking for a quality centric leader from the semi-custom
manufacturing world, someone with reliability engineering and/or
process engineering in their background, who will be designing,
testing, implementing, and documenting the processes and all
associated aspects in support of our multi-plant operations.
What You Will Be Doing
This role will be responsible for the Daily leadership and
management of a team of Continuous Improvement Engineers for a
growing manufacturing company.
This Work Includes
" Performing time studies, evaluation opportunities for waste
- Implementing LEAN techniques, and also use other well-known
improvement tools to achieve our goals (i.e. Six Sigma, DMAIC,
- revising processes to improve efficiency.
- Analyzing opportunities for/solutions to reduce costs, and
" Leading, Managing, Motivating and Training production operators
on new processes:
- Working side-by-side with operators to understand what their
struggles may be, and identifying opportunity to make improvements
at all levels.
- Work with management to help set employee levels
- Managing up to 40 ongoing projects at any given time
" Management of building projects and other capital projects
- Specifying, purchasing, and installing new equipment and
- Performing cost analysis and ROI calculations.
- Ultimately planning, implementing and putting in new production
We Are Looking For Someone That Has a Strong Background Directing
Process Improvement Efforts And Process Improvement Team
Members/teams, And Those Who Can Perform The Following
"Propose improvements to operations through manufacturing
engineering analysis based on capacity, cost reduction and/or
"Review engineering prints, select appropriate tooling, while
achieving quality and cost targets
"Work with suppliers to review existing operations to improve
quality and cost profiles
"Implement processes including equipment procurement, coordination
of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process
documentation and production start-up
"Contribute to the product introduction process with respect to
cost estimation, process investigation, schedule development and
"Review production problems as they are identified and implement
"Provide machining area with total technical support for each
established project for the development of the total manufacturing
/ quality plan for introduction of assigned components
"Assure adherence to quality control systems plan
"Provide engineering support for key customer interface with new
part introduction with design, and provide advice / counsel to less
experienced process / product engineers / specialists
"Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Production Manager, and
others to implement processes and equipment
What You Need for this Position
First and foremost, we need someone with a background performing
process Engineering direction/leadership in a precision
manufacturing/multi-disciplined. manufacturing environment.
On top of this, we need candidates with the following:
" Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline, along with
at least 5-7 years or more relevant hands on and leadership
experience in manufacturing environment
" Significant hands on experience working with and implementation
of Lean Manufacturing techniques, methods, tools.
- Six Sigma training/Certifications a plus
- Solid experience with process improvement/continuous
improvement tools (i.e. Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen)
" Significant team leadership/management experience in a
manufacturing/process improvement setting
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere and in individual
- Documented and demonstrated lean manufacturing capabilities
with experience on continuous improvement teams
- Demonstrated ability to work across groups, levels, and
functions within an organization
" Strongly self driven/self motivated individuals sought, those
with a passion for creating efficiencies and with both traditional
solutions, and 'out of the box' thinking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
" Role will be very much ON THE FLOOR, and HANDS ON.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds every day
- Ability to work quickly and swiftly with equipment, machinery,
