Job Description:

Vaco has been engaged by a rapidly-growing construction services company, headquartered in Tuscaloosa, to identify a Project Manager. Our client is in search of someone who can manage complex projects and grow to eventually manage a team. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish, including estimating and pricing to ensuring all punch-list items are completed. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for creating proposals and bids for potential clients/projects. The majority of the projects will be in the Birmingham area.Additional Responsibilities:

• Submit and track material samples and product data for architectural approval
• Oversee production of shop drawings for architectural review and approval
• Prepare and track material orders
• Oversee production of part drawings for material fabrication
• Coordinate site requirements and adjacent construction with customers
• Schedule deliveries of manpower, materials, and equipment to job sites
• Prepare estimates and implement changes required due to owner/architect/general contractor requirements
• Track shop and field labor production, modify methodology and innovate as required to meet budgets and targetsJob Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Building Sciences, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required
  • 2-10 years of experience in a commercial construction setting, preferably in project management
  • All applicants must have extensive CAD experience
