Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Transitional Open Heart Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Registered Nurse State License or Compact License Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: Must have at least 1 year of experience in the field of specialty Description: Our Heart Failure / Stroke Unit is dedicated to patients diagnosed with neurological and cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure or acute stroke. The unit operates with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, staffed with a team of highly skilled nurses. These nurses are trained to work with specific diagnoses and manage complex neuro-cardiac conditions with precision and compassion. They work alongside cardiologists and neurologists to ensure best practice standards of care for this patient population. The facility uses Meditech for electronic medical records. Scrub colors are solid navy. The position requires willingness to float to different units or hospitals. Guaranteed hours per week are 36. This is a clinical, patient-facing position. Orientation hours will be provided as needed. The timesheet approver for this role is designated within the organization.
