Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Travel RN – Med Surg/Telemetry (Respiratory Focus) – Nights Location: Tuscaloosa, AL Start Date: July 14, 2025 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hrs./week | Every other weekend & holidays as required Guaranteed Hours: 36/week Pay Package: $2,416/week - $32.50/hour (W2) - $1,246/week tax-free stipend License Requirement: Compact RN or Alabama License (no temporary licenses accepted) EMR: Meditech Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs Parking: Available Position Overview: This 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit specializes in acute and chronic respiratory conditions like COPD, pneumonia, and SOB, along with general medical cases (GI, diabetes, post-op, stroke). Includes an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit (1:4 ratio). Main unit nurse ratio is 1:6. Daily interdisciplinary rounds and strong team collaboration. Floating required. Requirements: - Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum) - Certifications: - AHA or Red Cross BLS (Required) - Licensure: - Active Alabama RN License or Compact State RN License - Experience: - Minimum 1 year in Med-Surg Telemetry - 18 months total RN experience required - Respiratory care experience highly preferred - This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment while earning competitive weekly pay in a specialized care unit.
