Job Description: Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist No of position: 2 Location : 215 Perry Hill Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109 Period of Performance : 12 Months (optional extension) Summary We are hiring two board-certified Medical Technologists / Clinical Laboratory Scientists to deliver comprehensive diagnostic testing services across all clinical lab disciplines for the Central Alabama VA Health Care System. This role supports high-volume laboratory testing with emphasis on quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform testing in all areas of the lab: Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Immunology, Urinalysis, and preferably Microbiology. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results. Follow all laboratory policies and VA standards for patient care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support patient diagnostics. Uphold all federal regulations and privacy standards while delivering lab services. Work Schedule 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday Flexibility to support weekends, second and third shifts, or 7-on/7-off schedule Shifts may vary based on service needs Required Qualifications Certification : MT, MLS, or CLS by ASCP or AMT (required) Education : Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field Experience : Minimum 1 year as a Generalist Medical Technologist Ability to perform all routine and complex clinical tests Strong proficiency in English (spoken, written, and comprehension) Preferred Qualifications Experience in Microbiology Prior VA or government healthcare experience Prime Physicians is a physician-led, The Joint Commission (TJC) Accredited, ISO 9001 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised organization.
