(State of Alabama or compact license, no temporary licenses
accepted) Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
Must-Have: - Associated degree in nursing - Minimum 1 year
experience in specialty Description: This position is for a Travel
RN in the Med Surge Telemetry specialty. Holidays are required.
Every other weekend is mandatory. Candidates must be willing to
float to other units and hospitals. Options to work either 36 or 48
hours per week are available. The unit focuses on Cardiac Telemetry
and has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. Nurses provide exceptional
care primarily to cardiac patients who may be experiencing chest
pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, or other cardiac
arrhythmias. The unit also cares for various medical patients with
conditions such as pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, and
occasional strokes, as well as surgical patients. The nursing and
ancillary staff are dedicated to providing patient-centered care to
support each specialized patient's recovery. The ultimate goal is
to achieve optimal patient outcomes for all patients under care.
