Operating Room (O.R.) department has a team of dedicated caregivers
that work collaboratively to provide the best possible care for
their surgical patients. These caregivers are eager and excited to
add an Experience Registered Nurse (RN) to their team. As an RN,
you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care
journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and
their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their
experience and provide healthcare education as needed. RNs scrub
and circulate through each service line during a 6-month
orientation period and can complete extra rotations on specialty
call teams to gain proficiency and join the team. How You’ll

and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority,
identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing
safety resources. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00
a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with on-call, weekend and holiday rotation
requirements. This position may require an earlier or later start
time, based on the needs of the department. A caregiver who excels
in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Assess, plan,
implement and evaluate care for a given patient population.
Assessments: complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in
patient condition and respond appropriately. Planning: develop and
update goals, involve patients and families in developing plans of
care, coordinating the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as
a patient advocate. Implementation: provide nursing care,
administer treatments and medication and document. Evaluation:
participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of
patient/family outcomes, contribute to the improvement of care and
participate in the quality improvement process.
Leadership/professional development: delegate tasks/assignments,
serve as a resource person/role model/mentor, pursue ongoing
education and specialty certifications, maintain applicable
certification/licensure and obtain any required certifications
specific to the unit. Department specific duties: plan for patient
care utilizing both patient specific information and preference
sheets, assist in collecting and preparing equipment, instruments,
sutures and implants, anticipate the needs of the surgical team,
act as a patient advocate, identify patients and confirm that
surgical site identification has been performed without
discrepancy, timely respond to on-call pages, maintain the room
schedule and ensure surgical specimens are handled correctly by
accurate identification. Minimum qualifications for the ideal
future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of
professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure
as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Successfully complete mandatory clinical competencies annually
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Scrub experience Two years of
Operating Room experience ? Physical Requirements: Requires full
range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual
and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing
and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision
and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful
conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases
and/or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force
occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move
objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for
