We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 70-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Dec 16, 2025. This full-time position features 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts, with a rotating 36/40 schedule and every other weekend required. Providers must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting. Job Details - Location: North Carolina - Start Date: Dec 16, 2025 - LOA: 70 days - Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Full time, rotating 36/40 schedule; every other weekend required. Weekdays 8am-8pm, weekends 8am-4pm. Must be able to float within relatively close clinics. Responsibilities and Duties - Independently assess and manage acute care patients in an urgent care setting - See 40 patients per shift while maintaining high standards of patient care - Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff as part of a streamlined business model - Work autonomously, making clinical decisions and managing patient flow efficiently - Adapt to a rotating schedule and float between clinic locations as needed - Maintain compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and best practices Additional Information - Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina - Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required - DOT certification is a plus - Must be able to work autonomously; candidates with less than one year of experience or new graduates will not be considered Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
