Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Facility Info: DCH Regional Medical Center 809 University Blvd E Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 Specialty: RN CSICU/CSU Shift: 7pm-7am Job Description Our Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) is a four 4-bed unit that directs its resources principally towards the care of adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular and other surgical conditions requiring critical care located on 4 North. The care of these patients is primarily focused on post-operative recovery and providing complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency. CSU is an 8 bed stepdown unit. The stepdown unit focuses on the care and recovery of patients after cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. Both units are supported by a cardiovascular educator. Together we specialize in the patient centered approach to care. Our team is dedicated to making our patient’s experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment.
