(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing
care in the Main Operating Room with a focus on neuro and spine
surgeries at a leading medical center in Birmingham, AL. This
contract position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to
contribute to patient outcomes in a dynamic OR environment. Ideal
candidates will possess experience in neuro/spine specialty cases,
with additional skills in vascular, DaVinci robotic surgeries,
orthopedics, and maxillofacial procedures considered advantageous.
Responsibilities: Deliver perioperative nursing care for patients
undergoing neuro and spine surgeries Collaborate with surgical
teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain compliance with
safety protocols and sterile techniques Utilize Cerner EMR for
documentation and patient record management Participate in on-call
rotation as scheduled to support weekend coverage Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in OR settings, specializing
in neuro/spine cases Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
required Exposure to vascular, DaVinci robotic, orthopedic, and
maxillofacial procedures preferred Ability to maintain professional
appearance: scrub colors limited to ceil blue or royal blue; no
fleece, hoods, t-shirts, sweatshirts, or nail polish permitted
Strong teamwork and communication skills essential Schedule &
Hours: Day shift: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 36 guaranteed hours
weekly On-call weekend hours with equitable distribution
