Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 4x10hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital, offering 10-hour day shifts and requiring BLS and MSPT/DPT. Details - Work in an acute care hospital environment serving trauma, orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, post-op, ICU, and MedSurg patients - Patient caseload is approximately 10-12 patients per therapist with 15 units per day - Coverage may include all hospital areas including ED, trauma, orthopedics, neuro, MedSurg, and ICU - Cerner/Powerchart is used for EMR documentation - Shifts are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a weekend rotation once per month - No on-call requirements - Floating may be required to any unit within the hospital as needed Requirements - Current BLS certification required - MSPT or DPT required - Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers must have at least 2 years experience - License required if applicable - Acute care experience is preferred but training is available for candidates willing to learn - Must be adaptable, coachable, and a strong team player Additional Information - Responsibilities include performing initial evaluations and ongoing treatments across various hospital units - Three days of department orientation provided with 1:1 support from a Rehab Aide during the first weeks - Rehab Aides are shared among clinical staff for ongoing support - Holiday coverage includes potential assignment for one major and one minor holiday during the contract - Scrub attire is navy blue or dark green - Free on-site parking is available - Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius from the hospital - Perm staff must wait 6 months before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-665555.
