Job DescriptionSalary: Executive Director of Human Resources Job
SummaryResponsible for recruitment, utilization, development, and
evaluation of staff, initiates and coordinates contracts/employee
handbook and education agreements, prepare for and conduct employee
grievances, coordinates employee benefits and maintenance of
personal data.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized college or
university in Human Resources management or a related field
- Significant human resources experience in the administration of
all employee matters
- Enforce prompt compliance with authorized hospital and
departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines. Protect the
interest of hospital while simultaneously maintaining a
professional, ethical, and equitable relationship in all
interactions with personnel
- Conducts investigations and collaborates with legal counsel and
CEO on matters related to escalated personnel matters
- Understanding of state and federal regulations FMLA, FLSA and
other regulations associated with HR management
- Understanding of insurance benefits
- Plan, organize, implement, control, direct and staff all Human
Resources functions and activities
- Assure that all employment staff functions are effectively and
efficiently administered, including recruiting, initial screening,
interviewing, testing where relevant, reference checking and
selection input. Assist managers and supervisors, as needed, in the
recruiting and hiring process
- Develop Human Resources budgets and use personnel, space,
equipment, and all other resources to assure budgetary compliance.
This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling of personnel to
assure adequate staffing, yet minimizing overtime
- Assure that compensation and benefits are continually reviewed,
assessed, and periodically updated to enhance the effectiveness and
efficiency of the overall benefits program
- Develop Human Resources staff through ongoing coaching,
in-service education, on-the-job training, and evaluation
- Address all employee complaints and concerns on a timely basis
and communicate the results to the employee
- Periodically survey similar sized and situated hospitals to
determine competitiveness
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the CEO
