Job Description:

As a CDL Yard Driver at Koch Foods, you will play a crucial role in the seamless operations of our transportation network, ensuring the efficient movement and staging of trailers within our facility premises. You will work within a dynamic team that ensures all our fresh and frozen poultry products are handled efficiently, enhancing the overall delivery process to meet our commitment to customer satisfaction. Operate yard trucks to move trailers containing shipments in and out of loading docks and parking spaces within the facility grounds. Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on yard trucks, ensuring they are in good working order. Coordinate with warehouse management to ensure that trailers are correctly positioned for loading and unloading in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and communicate any logistical issues to the supervisor immediately. Adhere to all safety guidelines and standards set by the company and regulatory bodies. Assist with the loading and unloading of trailers when required. Proficient in driving heavy vehicles and understanding their mechanics. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication skills for coordinating effectively with the transportation and warehouse teams. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
