Job Description Job Description Packaging Associate Akron, OH 2nd Shift $17–$19 per hour Full-Time Position Summary A confidential manufacturing and distribution company in the Akron area is seeking a dependable Packaging Associate to support 2nd shift operations. This role is responsible for safely and accurately packaging materials, verifying documentation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring products are prepared for storage and shipment in compliance with company and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare packaging area prior to product processing, including equipment setup and scale calibration Verify inbound materials against packing lists, bills of lading, and packaging schedules Package materials accurately into appropriate containers, ensuring proper sealing, labeling, and documentation Collect and document product samples per customer requirements Complete required quality and ISO documentation accurately Store, stack, and stage finished materials safely and correctly Clean and purge packaging equipment according to procedures Communicate equipment or quality issues to leadership promptly Interact professionally with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all safety, attendance, and company policies Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods Lifting up to 50 lbs Pushing, pulling, and carrying materials regularly Ability to work in varying temperatures Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred 1–3 years of warehouse or packaging experience preferred Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification Basic math and reading skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and reliability Basic computer or RF scanner experience preferred Work Environment Manufacturing/warehouse setting Exposure to hot and cold temperatures Overtime may be required Pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening required If you feel you have the above qualifications, please apply for immediate consideration.
