Purpose of the Position:

Under general supervision this position will provide analysis of the effectiveness for all Company benefit plans, assure their accuracy and compliance, and will also be responsible for improving existing programs and monitoring benefits administration.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the analysis of organization's health and welfare and pension/retirement benefit programs

Supports Manager with the analysis of plans, programs, issues and processes

Provides assistance with compliance and communications

Determines employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices; research industry trends; track legislation and estimate impact

Evaluate benefit administrative functions and services to develop effective solutions and options as needed; participates in strategic planning and recommends costing proposals, goals and objectives and participate in the evaluation, development and implementation of benefit related policies and procedures

Recommends benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing understanding

Provides management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing benefit data and trends

Participates in the annual renewal process to evaluate benefit plan design and premium costs and makes recommendations to Management

Manage eligibility and vendor system interfacing (i.e. transmission file issues); perform troubleshooting in the processing and/or retrieval of employee benefits data; analyze the flow of benefits data and develop internal procedures, guidance and training to ensure the accurate update of employee information and benefits records

Assist with the development of queries and reporting tools

Implement and manage benefit plan communication strategies

Assist with the benefit plan renewal process and conduct benchmarking

Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency

Document and maintain benefit administrative policies and procedures

Responsible for reporting and survey analysis, such as NES and Big Picture Integrity, Executive Position Counts (EPC), plant attrition, span of control, workforce ratios, and other ad hoc reporting

Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.

Work safely 100% of the time.

Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years' of relevant professional experience in the following area(s):

Health and welfare benefits plans, validating and maintaining data quality

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:

Must have working knowledge of HRIS and/or Data Warehouse

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel)

Good communication (verbal and written) skills, both with management and with other departments.

Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team, work as team player.

Problem analysis and problem solution.

Project Management and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

PHR or SHRM certified
