Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision this position will provide analysis of
the effectiveness for all Company benefit plans, assure their
accuracy and compliance, and will also be responsible for improving
existing programs and monitoring benefits administration.
Responsible for the analysis of organization's health and
welfare and pension/retirement benefit programs
Supports Manager with the analysis of plans, programs, issues
Provides assistance with compliance and communications
Determines employee benefit practices by benchmarking best
practices; research industry trends; track legislation and estimate
Evaluate benefit administrative functions and services to
develop effective solutions and options as needed; participates in
strategic planning and recommends costing proposals, goals and
objectives and participate in the evaluation, development and
implementation of benefit related policies and procedures
Recommends benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and
Provides management planning and control information by
collecting, analyzing, and summarizing benefit data and trends
Participates in the annual renewal process to evaluate benefit
plan design and premium costs and makes recommendations to
Manage eligibility and vendor system interfacing (i.e.
transmission file issues); perform troubleshooting in the
processing and/or retrieval of employee benefits data; analyze the
flow of benefits data and develop internal procedures, guidance and
training to ensure the accurate update of employee information and

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or in a related
area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and
A minimum of three (3) years' of relevant professional
experience in the following area(s):
Health and welfare benefits plans, validating and maintaining
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
Must have working knowledge of HRIS and/or Data Warehouse
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel)
Good communication (verbal and written) skills, both with
management and with other departments.
Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team, work as team

Project Management and organizational skills
