Strong communication, analytical, and simulation modeling skills are required while able to simultaneously manage multiple project priorities. Hard-core knowledge and experience with ISO power flow modeling, and related processes and procedures are required. Will also evaluate bid proposals and prepare recommendation for awards. Coordinate preliminary generating site screenings Facilitate transmission power flow intricate studies and economic analysis utilizing PSS*E, TARA (various base and add-on modules), and other software used in the Transmission Planning process, such as Platts Map Data Viewer; conduct Contingency N-1, and N-1-1 studies. Develop and build models that automate the study process to make more efficient; maintain project electronic file structure for ease of identification and revision access; develop process and procedure documentation. Run transmission congestion analysis and associated risk assessments. Work and communicate with ISO, RTOs, Utilities, Developers during the interconnection study process; research ISO /Utility specific study /modeling requirements to ensure accuracy of product output; Communicate with other Business Units as needed to get other required BU work done to support projects. Conduct network upgrade analyses and upgrade cost estimates. Preferred Masters or better in Electrical Engineering or related field.
