Job Description:

Responsibilities include preparation, teaching, and conducting courses as assigned.Provide clinical supervision to students in a controlled hospital or laboratory setting. Duties may includebut not limited to laboratory courses and clinicals,develop syllabi; facilitate student learning in classroom and lab settings, advise, tutor, and evaluate students.Teaching assignments may include some evenings and occasional travel. Typical teaching load is 30 credit hours of instruction per academic year.


Bachelor's degree in nursing. Current Kansas Register Nursing License and BLS certification required. Minimum of threeyears of clinical experience required. Experience with simulation equipment and scenario development preferred. Associates degree in Nursing with certifications will be considered depending on experience.

Master'sDegree in Nursing orsubfield preferred. Previous teaching instruction in community college or secondary education preferred.

Essential Primary Functions

  • Participate in the organization and implementation of simulation within the nursing program.
  • Responsible for implementation of simulation laboratory experiences with the cooperation of another faculty. Maintain equipment and keep accurate student records.
  • Assist in implementing the course of study by facilitating student learning experiences in the simulation lab environment.
