Quality Engineer (Audit)

PURPOSE: Under general supervision, plans, executes, and
administers system, process and Q-Release audits at the company,
off-site locations and existing or potential suppliers.
Responsibilities : Plan audits per project timing including setting
up schedule (3 year and annual or other as applicable for the type
of audit), aligning timing with each department or location,
coordinating support auditors for each session. Execute (lead)
audit sessions for each department or location. Develop audit
reporting. Coordinate and perform closing meetings. Execute
reporting in ARGUS system or other as applicable. Monitor and
follow up on corrective actions. Validate problem solving. Document
countermeasure effectiveness and follow up. Guide departments on
lessons learned. Implement escalation when needed. Problem solving
as needed. Participates in supplier selection planning, visits,
meetings, and evaluations. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study OR the
equivalent combination of education and/or years of relevant
working experience. A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant
professional experience in the following area(s): Project
Management, Lead Auditor, ISO/TS16949 or IATF16949, System Audits,
Process Audits Required Skills : IATF16949 Lead auditor
certification by certifying body. VDA6.3 auditor certification.
Excellent skills/experience in use of conventional PC programs such
as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Excellent language,
communication, and organizational skills. Excellent
skills/experience with coordination of time-critical processes.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment. Highly motivated individual dedicated to
customer satisfaction. PREFERRED SKILLS: Minimum intermediate level
German language skills. Q-Release and system audits lead auditor
experience. Working experience of DocMaster, MBC-Maps. Basic
knowledge of Visual Basic, Excel Macros, SAP, MS Access. PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory,
manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work
includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching,
kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to
understand and comply with all relevant safety practices. FLSA
STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE : Location: Plant 2. Schedule: Admin. Core
Hours: Work hours may shift week to week depending on meetings and
deadlines that may need to be met. Weekly Overtime: Approx. 8/hours
per month. Weekend Work: Approx. 1 weekend a month. Travel: 25-50%.
Assignment Start: ASAP. Assignment End: 1 year from start date.
