Job Description PURPOSE: Under general supervision, this
position interfaces between the company, R&D (international)
and suppliers to support the series carlines and ramp up production
of upcoming carlines, while ensuring supplier readiness and parts
quality regarding the project milestones, change management,
packaging, and problem analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent the Development and Quality
Engineering interests for all aspects of product as described in
areas of responsibility. Consult with all internal departments and
component suppliers regarding development related topics. Support
the change management (support suppliers, release preparation and
maintain/check the related documentation). Communicate
simultaneously with the relevant development departments in Germany
& other foreign plants as required. Support the Quality Operations
departments and Service & Parts by investigating malfunction and
solving problems, also at the Dealership / Customer. Examine,
measure, inspect, or test defective parts for conformance to
engineering design drawings or blueprint specifications, using
precision measuring and testing instruments, devices, and
equipment. Analyze specific developmental issues and establish
long- & short-term countermeasures including cross-functional
alignment. Lead cross functional problem-solving activities. Assist
production in implementing adopted countermeasures (long- &
short-term) to ensure production capability during Production Trial
(PT) phase. Initiate product planning changes and approve product
deviation requests to support product quality.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or a
related field of studyORthe equivalent combination of education
and/or years of relevant work experience. A minimum of three (3)
years of professional experience in a development/design or quality
engineering function relative to area of responsibility.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Project). Experience in
electrics/electronics (wiring harness, analysis). Knowledge of
documentation & issue tracking systems (SMARAGD, DIALOG, ACM, ZEUS,
PREFERRED SKILLS: Knowledge of analysis systems (e.g. Harness
analyzer, 3D-Viewer, CAD etc.). Knowledge of electrical car
technology and functions preferred on cars. English and German
language skills, both written and verbal. Intercultural competence.
Production experience / new product launch methods / supplier
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is normally performed in an office,
laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where
physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing,
reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able
to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE : Location: Plant 1, QVS Area.
Schedule: Standard Hours w/o shift. Core Hours: 8:00 am 4:00 pm,
Monday Friday. Weekly Overtime: None. Weekend Work: None.
Assignment Start: ASAP. Assignment End: 1 year after start
