POSITION: Heavy Equipment OperatorLOCATION: Alabama / Mississippi AreaOVERVIEW: This position supports the dredging and construction projects by operating Track Hoe/Excavator/Backhoe/Marsh Buggy or other heavy equipment. Heavy Equipment Operators will follow company rules and safety procedures when operating a piece of equipment. Operators inspect / grease the equipment daily and check fluid levels, overall function of the machine and other elements associated with the equipment. The operator will assist in making sure the machine is properly taken care of and relay any damage to the equipment to the supervisor. Operator must maintain flexibility to travel various job sites as projects move to different locations. Work schedule is 3 weeks on 1 week off with the opportunity to work through the scheduled week off.REQUIREMENTS: FUNCTIONAL TASKS -- Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures; uses/wears all required PPE-- Independently performs safe operating of Excavator or other equipment as instructed-- Conducts on-site preventive maintenance and safety inspections of light and heavy marine equipment, provides reports on equipment condition, and recommends corrective actionMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-- Three or more years of HE operating experience; dredging or construction experience a plus-- Excellent safety and mechanical skills-- Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment testing (drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testingEncore Dredging Partners, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
