Martinrea.Job Summary: Working in a plant environment organizing,
monitoring and controlling all consumables/production items stored
in the Stock RoomRequired Education and Experience:
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Inventory Control knowledge an asset
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact
with employees, and all levels of management
- Excellent written/oral communication and excellent listening
skills
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritizeEssential
Functions:
- Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations,
Company rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as
required by the company
- Maintain an inventory of all items to ensure adequate supply at
all times
- Manage all Receiving functions, including processing of
receipts, tagging/labelling, proper storage and placement of
products in the Crib
- Ensure all consumables and/or products are placed in allocated
area in the Stock Room in a timely fashion
- Track items distributed to employees and maintain records in
CMS
- Communicate to Purchasing to replenish stock as required
- Ensure required items are returned by the employee prior to
distributing a replacement as outlined by the company (i.e.:
gloves, grinding shield, glasses, etc.)
- Responsible for keeping the Stock Room organized and clean at
all times
- Maintain proper MRE housekeeping standards
- Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional
and/or unsafe equipment or work practices
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the
following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems,
Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee HandbookWork
Environment:
- 5% office; 95% plant floor (PPE required)Physical Demands:
- Constant standing, walking, bending and lifting (light to
heavy), seldom climbing
- Warm/Cold temperatures
- Communication with Lead Hand, Supervisors and Management
- Overtime as requiredHealth and Safety:
- Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations,
Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain
