Job Description The Machine Center Operator operates production equipment and performs one or more of the following operations determined by position assignment such as, but not limited to, broaches, induction harden machines, and continuous heat treat for the production of parts to specifications.Machine Center Operators also operates CDC's and makes measurement and checks.Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Maintains paperwork on the production counts.
• Maintains paperwork on machine down time per machine.
• Uses gages and/or other measuring devices to check work or hardness of parts.
• Performs related work and work of lower classifications as required.
• Works under general supervision, receiving assistance from higher classified employees when warranted.
• Ability to work with lightweight material continuously, average weight material frequently; utilizes a variety of material handling equipment in handling average or heavy weight materials.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:High school degree, or GED equivalent, with 1 (one) year experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience in the majority of above Principal Duties and Responsibilities.049_ATN GMP Forge/Tool Mch Ctr Ope_08ZRequired Education, Experience, & Skills High School Degree, or GED equivalent, with 1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the majority of above principal duties and responsibilities.Pay InformationThis position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.Employee Benefits: At BAE Systems, we support our employees in all aspects of their life including health and financial well-being.
