Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assuring, on a continual basis, that an uninterrupted flow of production material is available to support the vehicle production process. It also monitors inventory levels, expedite material, and audit material adjustment transactions to support a minimum inventory production process. Essential Functions: * Order all (series) production material, sample parts, prototype trial parts and repair parts with international supply chain material. * Resolve Transportation discrepancies. * Track and communicate all expedites to cross-functional teams until fully received. * Analyze all incoming international shipments and communicate root cause for delay. * Monitor supplier performance and request countermeasures for delivery issues. * Investigate inventory and receipt of discrepancies, track and report all open invoices. * Monitor production parts on a continuous basis to prevent the occurrence of a shortage, and report to management in case of deficiencies. * Direct and assist suppliers to assure material is shipped in accordance with the material release and that correct communication of shipment is attained. * Ensure proper balance out procedures are followed to minimize obsolescence. * Review internal database for daily plant impact; provide, request and analyze root-cause. * Resolve inventory discrepancies through problem solving methodologies with cross-functional teams. * Monitor and correct all advanced shipping notice transmissions. * Investigate, track and dispose of obsolete material. * Analyze engineering change documents and provide implementation date through coordination with external partners. * Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. * Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources. * Work safely 100% of the time. * Perform other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position. Education: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations Management or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' of relevant professional experience in the following area(s):Engineering Change Control or Supply Chain Management Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.: Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) Working knowledge of SAP or comparative software Proven understanding of Logistics process flow Preferred Skills: Written and verbal German language skills Working knowledge of Material Control, Operational Management, Production Inventory Control and/or Purchasing Sponsorship is not available.
