Job Description:
Company Information
Warrior Met Coal, Inc. is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Company is a leading producer and exporter of metallurgical
coal for the global steel industry from underground mines located
in Brookwood, Alabama, southwest of Birmingham and near Tuscaloosa.
These underground coal mines are 1,400 to 2,100 feet underground,
making them some of the deepest vertical shaft coal mines in North
America. Metallurgical coal mined from the Blue Creek coal seam
contains very low sulfur and has strong coking properties, making
it ideally suited for steel makers. Warrior Met Coal's
cost-efficient operations serve markets in the United States,
Europe, Asia, and South America via convenient barge and rail
access to the Port of Mobile. The company currently has the
operational capacity to mine about eight million tons of coal per
year from more than 300 million tons of recoverable reserves.
The operations also extract methane gas from the Blue Creek coal
seam. Warrior Met Coal's gas division represents one of the most
extensive and comprehensive commercial programs for coal seam
degasification in the country, producing approximately 28 million
cubic feet of gas daily from 1748 gas wells.
Because it is a natural resources production company, Warrior Met
Coal is aware of the impact its activities could potentially have
on air, land, and water resources. The Company is committed to
protecting these environmental resources by controlling,
preventing, or eliminating pollution from its operations while
supporting sustainable economic development.
Operating safely is a high priority for Warrior Met Coal. The
Company is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for
all employees and the continued enhancement of a safety culture
ensuring that all employees return home safely to their families
every day.
