Job Description:
This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and quality of
mechanical systems through meticulous inspection, testing, and
repair. The primary focus will be on our New Jersey site, where you
will provide essential technical program support for equipment
inspection and maintenance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical functions,
each aimed at maintaining the highest standards of mechanical
integrity and quality assurance. These duties are essential to the
role and must be performed with precision and adherence to
regulatory standards. Develop, Authorize, Maintain, and Implement
Inspection Plans: Â Create and uphold standardized inspection
protocols for all PSM Critical Equipment, including pressure
vessels, process vessels, heat exchangers, piping, storage tanks,
and more. Conduct Equipment Inspections: Â Perform thorough
inspections in accordance with API 510, API 653, and API 570
guidelines and regulations. Post-Inspection Reporting: Â Complete
detailed post-inspection reports, offering recommendations and
modifications for immediate concerns and future considerations.
Repair Plan Development: Â Develop, implement, and document
comprehensive repair plans for fixed equipment. Field Contract
Administration: Â Oversee field repairs of equipment, ensuring all
contractual obligations are met. Documentation Management: Â
Standardize, organize, and maintain essential documentation,
including design bases, inspection plans, and reports, in line with
corporate and site MIQA best practices. SAP and Equipment File
Updates: Â Keep SAP and equipment files current with equipment
history and inspection plans. Compliance Assurance: Â Ensure all
inspections and tests align with the original equipment design
basis and recognized good engineering practices (RAGAGEP). Repair
Documentation: Â Document all repairs to fixed PSM Critical
Equipment in accordance with OSHA 1970.119. Fitness-for-Service
Evaluations: Â Assess the fitness-for-service of all fixed PSM
Critical Equipment and assist in developing and documenting repairs
to return equipment to service. RAGAGEP Calculations: Â Perform
necessary calculations to determine the minimum allowable thickness
of pressure vessels, piping, and tanks in PSM Critical service.
Guidance to NDE Examiners: Â Provide functional guidance to client
and contract NDE Examiners. Inspection Result Evaluations: Â
Evaluate results of various non-destructive inspections on process
equipment and provide recommendations based on findings. Authorized
Inspector Duties: Â Act as the Authorized Inspector for PSM
Critical pressure vessel, piping, and storage tank inspections and
tests, approving all alterations. Corrosion Monitoring Program
Management: Â Manage and implement the Corrosion Monitoring program
PSAIM® for the sites. Contract NDE Coordination:  Coordinate
contract NDE inspections and perform Field Contract Administrator
responsibilities. Quality Assurance Plan Development: Â Develop
Quality Assurance Plans for the fabrication of new equipment, such
as tanks, pressure vessels, and piping. QA Inspections: Â Perform
and coordinate QA inspections of new equipment both on-site and at
shop locations. Equipment Life Estimation: Â Estimate the remaining
life of equipment per applicable RAGAGEP standards. Owners User
Manual Maintenance: Â Maintain the site Owners User Manual as
applicable. UT and PT Performance: Â Perform UT and PT on an
as-needed non-routine basis (client will provide training if not
certified). Qualifications: To be considered for this position,
candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Education/Experience/Background: Over 3 years of work experience
within high hazardous chemical processing or oil refining
industries, or similar fields. Possession of at least 2 out of 3
certifications: API 510, API 570, API 653. Willingness to travel
approximately 30-40% per year. With over 90 years' combined
